De Challenge weegt slechts 1170 kilo met vloeistoffen(koelwater etc.), terwijl de normale 360 1290 kilo weegt zonder vloeistoffen. Verder is de nul tot honderd tijd er op vooruit gegaan, van 4,5 seconden naar 4,0 seconden. De Challenge was alleen leverbaar met een F1 transmissie. Ferrari had van de 360 drie circuit versies, de Challenge, de GT en de GTC. De GT is een sterkere versie van de Challenge en de GTC is speciaal voor de N-GT klasse. De opvolger van de Challenge is de F430 Challenge, en of er een 458 Challenge komt? Waarschijnlijk wel, want er zijn al sinds 1995 Challenge uitvoeringen, ook al een jubileum.
