We hebben een inzending gekregen voor een nieuw maandelijks activiteit. Meneer Zwietering had het idee voor film-Ferrari's. Volgende maand verschijnt de eerste. Deze maand is er wel gewoon een Ferrari van de maand omdat Ferrari weer eens een nieuw model heeft uitgebracht.
De Ferrari van de maand mei is de
Ferrari 599 GTO De GTO is de sportieve versie van de normale 599. Dat dat nog kan is bijzonder. Ferrari heeft de toevoeging GTO gegeven als een eerbetoon aan de Ferrari 250 GTO. Dit beest heeft 670 pk en nul tot honderd duurt slechts 3,35 seconden. De topsnelheid ligt op 335 km/u. De GTO heeft 50 pk extra, is 0,35 seconden sneller op honderd, de topsnelheid ligt 5 km/u hoger en hij is 195 kilo lichter. Door de kennis die Ferrari heeft gekregen van de 599XX, is hier zo goed mogelijk toegepast. De versnellingsbak schakelt in 60 milliseconden. Op Fiorano rijdt de GTO 1 minuut 24. Op dit moment is dit de ultieme Ferrari.

Ferrari 599 GTO The GTO is the sporty version of the normal 599. That this is still possible is unique. Ferrari give it the addition GTO as honour to the Ferrari 250 GTO. This beast has 670 bhp and zero to one hundred cost 3.35 seconds. The top speed is on 210 mph. The GTO has 50 bhp more, is 0.35 seconds faster on one hundred, the top speed lays 3 mph higher and it is 195 kilo lighter. The knowledge that Ferrari has from the 599XX, is here so good as possible applied. The gearbox shifts in 60 milliseconds. On Fiorano drive the GTO 1 minute 24. On this moment the is the ultimate Ferrari.
Ferrari heeft een nieuwe mascotte: De koe. Dit is de Ferrari koe met het nieuwe logo: The prancing cow. Deze koe heeft een één kk (koeien kracht) sterke 4 been. Binnenkort komt de Scuderia uit.
Ferrari reed op 21 mei 1950 de eerste Formule 1 race. De eerste race werd verreden in Monaco met de Ferrari 125 F1. Ze reden met vier wagens. Twee auto´s waren van privé rijders. De twee fabrieksauto´s werden door Alberto Ascari en Luigi Villoresi bestuurt. Beiden waren Italianen. Villoresi begon vanaf de zesde startplaats maar na 63 ronden begaf de achteras het en hij moest stoppen. Ascari werd tweede. De privé rijders zijn vierde geworden en uitgevallen. In 1950 reden ze 100 ronden en het duurde 3 uur en 18 minuten. Tegenwoordig zijn dat er 76 en duurt het 2 uur. Ferrari heeft op de Formule 1 wagens strepen staan. Sinds reclame voor sigaretten verboden is staan deze strepen. Eerst stond er Marlboro op. Alleen is nu het probleem dat die strepen de barcode is voor Marlboro. Daarom is er veel ophef over. Ferrari vindt het onzin en zegt dat het mensen niet aan spoort om te roken. Toch hebben ze de strepen verwijderd en nu staat er een wit ruit op de auto's.
Ferrari had livery on the Formula 1 cars standing. Since advertisement is forbidden this livery is on the cars. First there was standing Marlboro on. Only now the problem is that the livery the bar code is for Marlboro. There is much fuss about. Ferrari says its nonsense and they say it not encourages people to smoke. Still they remove it and now there is a white rectangle on the cars.
