Ferrari 60 jaar in de F1

Ferrari reed op 21 mei 1950 de eerste Formule 1 race. De eerste race werd verreden in Monaco met de Ferrari 125 F1. Ze reden met vier wagens. Twee auto´s waren van privé rijders. De twee fabrieksauto´s werden door Alberto Ascari en Luigi Villoresi bestuurt. Beiden waren Italianen. Villoresi begon vanaf de zesde startplaats maar na 63 ronden begaf de achteras het en hij moest stoppen. Ascari werd tweede. De privé rijders zijn vierde geworden en uitgevallen. In 1950 reden ze 100 ronden en het duurde 3 uur en 18 minuten. Tegenwoordig zijn dat er 76 en duurt het 2 uur. Sindsdien heeft Ferrari 799 GP´s gereden, 211 keer gewonnen, 16 constructeurs titels gewonnen en 15 rijders titels gewonnen. Dat zijn allemaal records. Foto: Ferrari.com

Ascari became second. The privateers become fourth and inoperative. In 1950 they drove 100 laps and it cost 3 hours and 18 minutes. Now they drive 76 laps and it cost 2 hours.
